Niam Jain Autism Artist attended the Cure Concert in Miami, a surprise trip to Miami from Toronto just to see The Cure play. The innocence of Autism can be beautiful, tonight I witnessed the magic in my son , Niam Jain Autism Artist, eyes, as he drowned himself in happiness, unable to fully express himself. He showered me with hugs and kisses, a treasured three hours of affection and love. The Cure, Niam’s favourite band came on stage and started to sing, Niam could not believe how the radio stars ended up on the stage! He danced for awhile, requesting my phone, googled “The Cure” and, I responded, ” Yes that’s them up there”. His face was delighted and, I was over the moon on his problem solving skills, his ability to ask a question and have a conversation with me using technology. He was delighted to be at the Cure Concert!
Niam has limited speech and comprehension. But don’t be fooled, my little boy understands the world in his own unique and visual way, enjoying each of life’s precious moments.
BTW, Niam Loves his Cure Concert T-Shirt and even wears it to sleep!
Niam danced all night to recognizable songs at the Cure Concert, smiling when Robert Smith belted out one hit after hit. I was quite impressed with the concert. I can’t take my children to many concert these days since there too much explicit scenes, but this was perfect. Unfortunately, the last encore was cut short, Robert lost his voice and some of Niam’s favourite songs were not played. Niam asked for them but we told him Robert was sick, and he was okay with it. On our ride back to our condo, The Cure played on the radio, it was a perfect way to end the night! The Cure Concert made its way to our car and we all danced the way home.
I can remember days way back during trips to Disney World, Marine Land and shows with loud noises where Niam was holding his hands to his ears but tonight we saw none of that! He was loving the show just like any other child, I was so proud and happy watching my son, I must have sent out a dozen tweets. Moral of the story, never give up! I took many pictures and recorded a few songs. I can’t wait for Niam’s new abstract painting. An exciting, eventful night, full of surprises and happiness, I look forward to more concerts and, hopefully we will catch The Cure Concert again.
I look forward to see Niam’s new painting after The Cure Concert. My son, Niam Jain Autism Artist, expresses his inner most thoughts and feelings through his paintings, with art being sold all around the world. Visit his website to see all of his artwork!
